I was so excited to play around with the NEW Neon Glitters and Disco Girlfriends Stamp set!

Here is what I created:

First, I cut the step card from Strawberry Cardstock {98104} using the Sizzix die (or you can find a cut file in the shop here.  I picked some paper from my stash to really go with the "disco" theme.  I used the Disco Girlfriends Digital stamp {DIGI774} and printed off the rockin' ladies.  I fussy cut one of them out and adhered to my card front.  Next, I stamped the sentiments using the Disco Girlfriends Stamp Set (non-digital) {774}  with Versamark Ink {VM001}, sprinkled on Blueberry Embossing Powder (EP240) and heat set.  I cut them out with some round dies and then stamped again (with Versamark) the flower from the stamp set.  I used Cherry Embossing Powder (EP228) and heat set.  I adhered them to my card with 1/4" Tearific Tape {SAT01}.

Next came some extra fun!  I took a piece of white cardstock and adhered a section of 2.5" Tear-ific Tape {SAT11} onto it.  I removed the backing and made a background using my NEW Neon Glitters (Exhulted G1132, Energized G1133 and Electrified G1135), I simply took small bits of each glitter and sprinkled on randomly (obviously I had to discard the excess as it was all mixed together, so I was extra careful not to use too much excess!).  I burnished it well into the Tear-ific tape and then cut out the fun flowers with dies.  How much fun can you see yourself using these glitters?  :D

I hope you enjoyed this card - I sure had fun making it!

The next stop on our Blog Hop is ERET and you can find her blog here!

Good luck and have fun!

SparkleNSprinkle Watercolor Flowers

Good morning!

I'm back on the SparkleNSprinkle Blog this week with another gorgeous card featuring the "Thinking Of You" Stamp Set!

IMG_7793

To start making this card, I made a watercolor panel using the Nuance Magenta Golden Yellow Powder.  I love working with these powders.  You can actually see the technique I used in this month's Video Technique Club by Demo Donna HERE.  I did a bit of an ombre to graduate the color from lighter to darker.  Set aside to let dry completely.

Next, I took my Memento Black Ink and stamped the flowers twice. If you stamp after you watercolor, the outline will be very crisp and clear.  To accent the leaves, I took my Quicky Glue Pen (an essential for your toolbox!) and applied it to small sections at a time.  Then I added Glistening Emerald SparkleNSoft and burnished well with my finger tool.  I love SparkleNSoft - so soft with just a touch of glitter!

IMG_7791
To accent the center of the leaves, I used the Quicky Glue Pen to add Daisy Microfine Glitter.  My card base was made from the Candlelight Cardstock (amazingly sturdy and has a nice texture to it!).  Of course I used Tear-ific Tape to make sure everything sticks nice and permanently!  I had some scraps of the watercolored paper left, so I used that to make my sentiment!  I took the Happy Birthday sentiment that comes with the Thinking of You stamp set (it's amazingly versatile!) and stamped with Memento Black Ink.  I took a punch I had on hand and punched out the shape, adhering to the card with Foam Squares for added dimension.

To finish off the card, I added some of my new-found fave, Tan Pull Ribbon, to the top of the card.  This is a must try!  It's so pretty and fun to work with!
I added some surprises to the inside of this card too!  Using my Tear-ific tape, I added a strip of Green Iris Glitter and a strip of Daisy Microfine Glitter! Pretty & fun! :)

I hope you have enjoyed learning how I made this card.  See you next time!

MHKDesigns January Challenge!

Hello friends!

I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing Design Team!  Here is our MHKDesigns January Challenge:

Here is my project:

I used the following stamp set to create this pretty card:

Beginnings & Endings Digital Stamp Set

I used watercolor pencils and an aqua brush to color the stamps after I re-sized and printed the images!  I added a bit of sparkle to each butterfly and layered with a shiny, sparkly aqua paper.

These digis print out absolutely beautifully!  They are also super easy to size and build together.

I hope you will come out an play along this month!

Until next time

Creative Corner Challenges - Feathers

Hello again!

We have a fun theme over at Creative Corner Challenges this week!  It's all about FEATHERS!  I couldn't just stop at one card, so I made 2!

I used SparkleNSprinkle Embossing powders to emphasize the feathers.  I just love their quality products!  I used Fleur de Lis, Ocean and Gold Detail Embossing powders.  The Ocean is really cool - it's a marbled powder!

The papers were from a retired paperpack from Close to My Heart called "Magnifique".  I just love them.  The stamp set is also retired. Its one of those stamps that you can't get rid of!

I hope you will come along and play this week!

Until next time,

Jess

SparkleNSprinkle - Thinking of You!

Hello again!

I'm back with a quick post showcasing our new Stamp Set "Thinking of You"!  I used a cute Sizzix Die called "Fold-a-Long" (660373) to cut out the card base.  This card gives so much impact, you don't need to add very much "extra" to make it pop!

I used the die set to cut the inside shape from Glossy White Cardstock (99575).  Next, I stamped with Versamark (VM-001) the flowers from "Thinking of You" Stampset  (769) and embossed with Candlelight Embossing Powder (EP386).  I just love how pretty these flowers are!

To finish the card I added some Pull Ribbon (White/Triple Silver) and stamped "Happy Birthday" using Versamark (VM-0001) and Black Magic Embossing Powder (EP255).

I hope you enjoy this card! Now go out and create something!!

IMG_7776 (2)

I'm back again this week with another fun card for SparkleNSprinkle!
I'm just loving this brand new stamp set - it's so versatile!!!  Lots of great, everyday sentiment and the flowers are just gorgeous!  I also got a chance to play with the Nuance Watercolor Powders - love them!

Supply List:
(click on each to find them in the Shop!)

MISC:
White Cardstock
Punches

To begin the card, I started by stamping the flowers onto a white cardstock piece and watercoloring with the Nuance Water Colors.  They are so fun to play with and can give extremely vivid results!

IMG_7764

Next, I used my Quicky Glue Pen to adhere the Forest Green Embossing powder to the leaves of the flowers, heat setting of course!  I stamped some more of the flowers and fussy cut them out to add a pop of dimension to the card.   To finish off the bouquet, I added some of the beautiful Cream Pull Ribbon.

IMG_7769

To add some excitement to the top of the card, I applied 3 rows of the 1/4" Tear-ific Tape.  In the middle, I adhered some Canary Flocking and to the top & bottom strips, I used Daisy Microfine Glitter.  It's so soft and sparkly!

IMG_7766

I then adhered my cardfront to a layer of the Candlelight cardstock - I'm really lovin' this paper!  It's textured on one side and smooth on the other. I used a punch to create the border on the cardbase.  The "Thank You" sentiment was stamped with Memento Black Ink onto a scrap piece of cardstock that I had watercolored on.  I punched it out and added it to the card front.  To finish off the flowers and add just the right amount of sparkle, I used the Quicky Glue pen once again and added the Tiger Orange Glitter to the centers of the flowers and some Daisy Microfine Glitter to some of the petals.  All layers were adhered with Tear-ific Tape of course!

IMG_7768 IMG_7773

To add a finish to the card, I took one more strip of 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and adhered it on the inside.  I applied the Daisy Microfine glitter and burnished well.  Now, when the lucky recipient opens the card, they will find a pop of fun glitter!

Cupcake Inspirations #341 with SparkleNSprinkle!

Hello friends!

I am so excited to participate as a SparkleNSprinkle Design Team member this week over at Cupcake Inspirations!  The theme this week is "Elegance".

Mmm- those look delicious!  Now I want cupcakes! LOL :)

Here is what I came up with:

Supply List:

So, to make this card, I started with the Candlelight Cardstock and made the cardbase.  I embossed a piece of white cardstcok with the criss-cross pattern and adhered to the base using Tear-ific Tape.  Next, I started working on the "Hooray!" Panel.  I added a piece of 2.5" Tear-ific Tape along the bottom and "Kiss-Cut" the sentiment out using the Ink Transfer Pad and my die. I then took off the adhesive backing from the sentiment and applied my Candlelight Embossing Powder.  I burnished it well.  Next, I removed the rest of the adhesive backing and applied Gold Detail Embossing Powder to the exposed adhesive.  I then used my heat tool to set the embossing powder.  Pretty cool, huh?  Next, I took my Fleur de Lis Enamel Embossing powder and sprinkled on lightly for some added effect.  I heat set from the underside so that it would not just blow away.  Once it was cool, I matted it with a piece of the Candlelight cardstock.

I just love this Cream Pull Ribbon!  I added a piece around the front of my panel.  To make the gorgeous bird, I took my Large Bird Flourish and covered it with Versamark Ink.  I sprinkled Fleur de Lis Enamel Embossing Powder all over it and heat set.  It is so gorgeous!  I added it to my card panel using Brushable Glue. To adhere the panel to my card base, I added some Foam Squares for added dimension.

I hope you enjoy this creation!  Thanks for stoppi

Until next time,

Jess
